Simple Online Banking Setup
- Many banks offer a simple download procedure that will store the transactions from your online banking account into a file that QuickBooks will IMPORT automatically
- In this example, we have a Huntington Bank account
1. Specify your range of dates and click Download Account History
2. Select QuickBooks for import type
3. Select Download account history
4. Select SAVE the file
5. Select Open Folder
This will normally be the DOWNLOADS folder

Process the Bank Download
1. From the Banking menu, select Bank Feeds
2. Import Web Connect File
3. Double click the downloaded file
- Choose the account to download the entries into
- In this example, HB Checking
- Select each transaction item and assign the expense account
- This trains QuickBooks where to post the account the next time you download a transaction for the same company
- Select Add / Approve and the entries will now be entered into the QuickBooks register
